School District 71 invites applications for two full-time Program Worker – Sign Language Interpreter positions (Elementary/Secondary). Each position requires 5.59–5.75 hours per day, 1–5 days per week. The current rate of pay is $50.00 per hour. The district also welcomes qualified part‑time candidates who can combine schedules to provide the equivalent of two full‑time roles.
The primary function of the interpreter is to interpret between deaf and hard‑of‑hear students, their hearing peers, classroom teachers, parents, school staff and administration in the classroom and during school activities such as assemblies, field trips, teams, clubs and other educational experiences.
