Job Description

• Risk Assessment & Hazard Control: Identifying electrical hazards, conducting Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and implementing control measures.
• Site Inspections: Regular monitoring of the substation for proper safety signage, barricades, and structural safety (e.g., fencing).
• Safety Training & Promotion: Conducting tool-box meetings, providing safety training, and promoting a culture of safety among staff.
• Incident Investigation: Investigating near-misses and accidents to determine root causes.

Qualifications

• Training: Completed 40-hour BOSH or COSH for Safety Officer 2 (mandatory).
• Experience: Typically 1–3 years of experience as a safety officer.
• Education: A degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) is often preferred, or a vocational graduate with relevant experience. ...
