Job Title: Security Guard - Events

Reports To: Security Manager / Security Supervisor

FLSA Status: Hourly / Non-Exempt

Pay Rate: $24.31 (NYS Prevailing Wage)


SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Security Manager and Security Supervisors, responsible for assuring the safety and security of the patrons attending events, employees, and facility assets. This is a part-time, causal position as needed based on events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Provide excellent customer service and always maintain a courteous and professional demeanor

+ Exercise restraint and patience when dealing with a disruptive patron

+ Search patrons and their belongings using walk through metal detectors, hand wands, and conducting bag checks

+ Assist when needed scanning patron’s tickets as they enter the building and ensuring all patrons have a proper ticket/credential
