Job Title: Senior Design Engineer

Location: Peterborough (5 days onsite)

Rate: £47.04 per hour

Contract Length: 24 months

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Design Engineer to support major new product development programmes within a globally recognised engineering environment. This role focuses on delivering robust design solutions for advanced engine systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and development of engine components (castings, geartrain, valvetrain, drivetrain, in‑cylinder components)
• Support system‑level design (cooling, lubrication, breather, FEAD)
• Lead project tasks and manage deliverables
• Perform FMEA and risk analysis
• Create and release engineering drawings and documentation
• Work closely with suppliers using APQP methodologies
