What You’ll Be Doing

• Strategic Leadership – set and execute the vision for the Trade Finance business, aligning with CIBC’s broader commercial banking strategy. Lead transformational initiatives and adapt national direction to regional market needs.
• Business Development – drive growth in trade finance by sourcing new business, expanding existing relationships, and developing market‑specific plans. Ensure robust sales management practices and monitor performance against targets.
• Client & Relationship Management – champion a client‑first approach, representing client perspectives in solution design and delivery. Build and maintain high‑profile relationships with key clients, industry partners, and centres of influence.
• Collaboration – partner with Relationship Managers, Product, Operations, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless, innovative trade solutions. Act as a senior ambassador for CIBC at industry events and in the community.
