Job Description
Job Responsibilities - Determine the acceptability of samples with guidelines and prepares specimens for analysis.
- Perform the laboratory tests as stated in the standard procedure manual.
- Co‑ordinate general workflow and prioritize laboratory requests according to Stat, Urgent and routine.
- Operate and calibrate all laboratory instruments.
- Perform daily maintenance on laboratory instruments.
- Perform quality control (QC) procedures, verify that values are within specified limits, and document all QC data.
- Validate the accuracy of laboratory data.
- Monitor quality control and quality assurance measures and institute corrective action.
- Has knowledge of theory of laboratory procedures and understand the basic physiology of laboratory results and to correlate laboratory data with other clinical data.
- Identify technical, instrument, and/ or physiologic causes of unexpected test results.
