The Senior Optical Engineer is responsible for the overall technical authority, design, and performance of optical systems, particularly for defense-related applications. This role involves translating functional requirements into innovative optical designs, performing trade‑off analyses, and developing conceptual designs for both visible light and IR cameras. The position leads the integration and testing of optical components and subsystems, supervises optical labs, and mentors junior engineers and technicians.
