Job Description

Position Summary The Kanjee lab studies the malaria parasites with the aim of understanding how these single‐celled organisms are capable of infecting human red blood cells (RBCs). To that end, we have developed methods to enrich for parasite invasion ligand proteins that bind to RBCs. We aim to characterize the parasite bindome using cell‐culture, biochemistry and proteomics approaches. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Performs complex analysis/projects according to research protocols, explaining methods and procedures to other technicians.
