Job Description

A reputable renewable energy firm is currently in search of a Senior Wind Engineer to join their team in Cape Town. Candidates must be experienced in the renewable energy sector specialising in wind energy (wind turbines).

Requirements:

•BSc: Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering

•WASP completed courses

•5-10 years’ experience holding a position as a Wind Engineer

•Identifying and developing new wind projects

•Experience in the complete development of project (lifecycle): Site identification, wind measuring campaign, environmental and permitting etc.)

•Experience in leading and management of a team of Engineers

•Experienced in the mesco-scale modelling of wind projects

•Experienced in wind data analysis, verification and micro-scale modelling of wind turbines
