Position

Automotive Service Technician responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, and maintaining automotive systems and components at a dealership.

Responsibilities

• Discuss work with supervisor.
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Inspect motor in operation and conduct road tests on motor vehicles.
• Test automotive systems and components, including fuel, electrical, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, and tire/wheel rim systems.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components as needed.
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service.
• Complete reports documenting problems and work performed.
• Provide customer service to vehicle owners.
