The core mission of the Shop Hand is to support the fabrication, painting, and assembly of steel building structures in an industrial manufacturing atmosphere. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to learn a range of tasks necessary for each project scope, including material handling, fabrication work, assembly work, painting, and cleaning.

**Responsibilities**

· Participate in the Quality Assurance Program.

· Use hand and power tools to clean and prep steel.

· Handle materials efficiently and safely.

· Read and understand work orders and project task codes.

· Mix and prepare paint coatings following proper procedures.

· Apply paints and coatings according to procedures and manufacturer’s instructions.

· Accurately record quality data on cleaning and coating reports.
