Most store cleaning roles are filled through contracted cleaning service providers at the store or regional level, while some distribution centre and head office positions are filled directly by the Shoprite Group.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of all areas within Shoprite supermarkets, Checkers stores, Usave outlets, LiquorShop branches, and distribution centres.
Qualifications and Skills
- No formal qualification required for entry‑level roles; Grade 10 or Grade 12 (Matric) preferred for most contractors.
- Basic literacy – ability to read cleaning schedules, chemical labels, food hygiene instructions and safety signage.
