Your Role as a Social Worker:
The Social Worker enables students to function more effectively in school by providing a range of services such as casework and counselling, groupwork, family sessions and family education.
The Social Worker works as part of a collaborative team to
- Address the social, financial, emotional and behavioural concerns of students and their family members, taking into consideration their mental and physical well‑being. This could take the form of individual or group sessions.
- Work with parents and caregivers, equipping and empowering them through information and education to build a better relationship with their child and the school.
- Collaborate with teachers, other allied health professionals and external agencies to create a better environment in support of the student’s learning.
Requirements :
- Degree in Social Work from a recognized educational institution.
