The Software Support Specialist provides technical support for automated material handling software systems and equipment in warehouses and distribution centers using an array of technical tools to test and commission systems and perform complex troubleshooting and problem solving. The role involves knowledge of software testing, design & debugging, operating systems and databases.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and resolves issues with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Material Flow Systems (MFS)
- Recognizes mechanical or logical issues and escalates, as necessary, for resolution
- Designs and executes test cases for commissioning and identification of system issues
- Trains internal and external customers to increase system knowledge, resolve issues and prevent issues from recurring
- Creates and maintains documentation and training materials for system use, service & maintenance
