The Governance Specialist, Data & AI is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing Air Canada’s Data & AI Governance Programs. This role ensures compliance of all Data & AI initiatives with ethical, regulatory, and organizational standards, working collaboratively with IT, Data, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and Business teams. The Specialist will drive the adoption of responsible AI and data governance practices, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and trust in how data is managed and AI is used across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Establish, update and enforce company-wide policies, directives and procedures to maintain trusted AI systems, as well as data integrity, protection, effective usage and alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with privacy, legal, compliance, business, and technical teams to ensure AI solutions and data practices adhere to governance standards.
