Specialist Registrar in Thoracic Surgery

Full Time – 40 hours per week. Fixed term.

Start date can be flexible for the successful applicant(s) and further start dates may be available in 2026. Contract length can be negotiable and will be dependent on applicant experience and suitability.
Responsibilities
- Day‑to‑day management of thoracic surgery in‑patients under the supervision of the consultant team.
- Liaising with on‑call consultant and nursing staff regarding emergency and non‑elective referrals.
- Regular attendance in theatres and out‑patient clinics.
- Administration including production of discharge summaries, clinic letters and communication of pathology results to referring trusts.
- Contribution to departmental teaching, research and clinical audit.
