**Job Description**

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) – Die Casting and Stampings will serve as the technical liaison between GM purchasing, product engineering, manufacturing, and our supply base. In this role, the SQE will work directly with suppliers to resolve manufacturing and quality issues, implement and monitor advanced quality planning systems, and provide technical support throughout the lifecycle of die cast and stamped commodities and components.

**What You'll Do:**

+ Assure supplier understanding and compliance with APQP processes and PPAP submission and approval requirements for die cast and stamped components.
+ Review and approve supplier quality plans, including Control Plans and PFMEAs, for new components and assemblies supporting vehicle launch.
+ Review supplier manufacturing processes, process controls, and quality systems with emphasis on defect prevention, process capability, and launch readiness.
