The overall purpose of this position is to assist management in ensuring an unqualified opinion on the respective financial audits. The incumbent is responsible for safeguarding the assets of the institute through account analysis and regular monitoring of financial transactions, and for ensuring that all transactions in assigned general ledger accounts are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. This role also supports other staff in understanding accounting principles and practices for their assigned accounts. The position reports to the Director of IEEE Asia-Pacific Ltd and the senior Manager of accounting. It requires numerous evening conference calls with the New Jersey finance team, so the candidate must be willing to work evenings and weekends. The incumbent will work under general supervision and have no direct reports.
