About the role - you will: As a key technical contributor, you will lead material performance and process integration for sputtering targets in high-volume manufacturing.
- Serve as the technical lead for sputtering target materials, focusing on magnetic, mechanical, and microstructural properties.
- Define and optimize target material specifications to meet process stability, film performance, and reliability requirements.
- Drive supplier qualification and improvement, with strong understanding of target manufacturing processes (e.g., casting, HIP, bonding).
- Lead investigation of material-related excursions, establishing linkages between material properties and process performance.
- Integrate target behavior with sputter process conditions to improve yield, OEE, and process robustness.
- Apply material characterization and data analytics to correlate target attributes with film quality and product performance.
