POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Perioperative Nurse Fellow is a full-time Monday - Friday training position for nurses new to the operating room environment. The goal of fellowship is to provide the tools and skills needed for the novice OR nurse to grow into competent and independent nurse circulators. Components of fellowship include: completion of a didactic perioperative course with successful scores, following rotation requirements in surgical services as assigned by department educators or leadership team, and punctual, consistent attendance to assigned work schedule. Upon completion of fellowship, the nurse will transition to a full time circulator position within the department. Shift to be determined based on department needs.
