If you're a skilled writer with a keen interest in what's going on in the world and a passion for communicating with children, you could be a staff writer on The Week Junior – the award-winning weekly current affairs magazine for 8 to 14-year-olds – and its sibling The Week Junior Science+Nature, which is published every four weeks.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Editor, you'll be working across both magazines, researching and writing on a range of topics every day. These could be anything from a story about Iran and the Strait of Hormuz to a debate about whether aliens exist or a face-to-face interview with a famous children's author or illustrator.
You'll attend a weekly news conference, where you'll pitch your own ideas for the events and subjects we should be covering, and you'll support the editors with their day-to-day responsibilities.
