**Job Description :**

**GENERAL OVERVIEW:**

Oversees the daily functions of the Respiratory Care Department in the provision of respiratory care.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Coordinates the daily operations within the department e.g., quality assurance, performance improvement, productivity monitoring, staffing assignments. (40%)
+ Performs or makes recommendations relative to hiring, evaluation, coaching, promoting, disciplining and discharging employees by following established HR policies, scheduling. (30%)
+ Prepare, review and revise department standards of operation and care per regulatory requirements. (5%)
+ Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies. (5%)
+ Ensures compliance with and prepares the department for regulatory agencies. (20%)
+ Performs other duties as assigned or required.
