Summary This position is located on the Forest Service Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. The incumbent is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, organizing, and supervising all aspects of the Center Food Service program. The incumbent will spend at least 85% of the time supervising subordinates. See Additional Information section for who to contact about the duties of this position. Responsibilities Supervisory Duties. Ensure that all areas of facility and equipment responsibility and well as kitchen and dining hall staff comply with food handling practices that comply with the state, local, or U.S. Public Health Service Food Code. Ensure preparation of food in a manner that retain food value and taste qualities. Make substitutions and changes adapting to unavailable food items, unforeseen Center program demands, and excessive (leftovers) food products based on sound nutritional requirements.
