Overview We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for locum tenens coverage in Pennsylvania. This role is focused on inpatient and surgical care, with no outpatient clinic responsibilities. The assignment consists of 24-hour call coverage in 7 10 day stretches, primarily to support vacations and holiday gaps.
Schedule
- 24-hour call shifts (7 10 day stretches)
- Approx. 7 shifts per month
- Cases typically start around 7/7:30am.
- Day generally ends at 5 pending case load and acuity of post-ops, etc.
- APP support 7am-6pm then switches to cardiac surgeon from 6pm-7am next day.
- 30-minute response time (can take call from local hotel)
- Average 2 admissions per call
