About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to support their team onsite in San Francisco on a contract basis. This role will focus on preparing individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and leveraging various tax software platforms to deliver accurate and timely filings.


Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065)

+ Collect and organize client financial documents, including W-2s, 1099s, and supporting schedules

+ Utilize tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte, UltraTax, ProSeries, Drake, or similar) to complete filings

+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations

+ Identify tax credits, deductions, and strategies to optimize client outcomes
