The School and Role

A supportive school in Sunderland is seeking a caring and reliable KS1 Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom support and deliver phonics interventions following the Read, Write Inc scheme. The role involves supporting pupils within the classroom, helping to raise attainment in early reading and phonics, and encouraging positive engagement in learning. You will work closely with teaching staff to create a supportive and inclusive environment while promoting pupils’ confidence, progress, and wellbeing throughout the school day.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

- Experience of working with primary school aged children

- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
