Palm Tran is looking for skilled crafted individuals to perform vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and repairs in a safe, efficient and timely manner. The incumbent in this position performs preventive maintenance and repairs on transit buses, mechanical equipment and support vehicles (both gasoline and diesel powered), including but not limited to engine adjustment, braking systems, steering/suspension systems, electrical/hydraulic parts and associated components; examines maintenance repairs on related equipment to company and/or manufacturers' guidelines to preserve the safety and reliability of set equipment. This is accomplished by working alongside a Maintenance Trainer, Maintenance Technician or at the direction of a Maintenance Supervisor as they complete inspections for vehicle deficiencies through work order or the preventative maintenance process.
