Under the direction
of the Laboratory Medical Director, Laboratory Administrative Director, and
Supervisor of Specimen Procurement and Dispatch Services, primary duties
include Phlebotomy, Specimen Processing, and Customer Service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS (Including but not limited to):

1. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to determine
   phlebotomy technique appropriate for the age and condition of the patient, and to perform
   blood collection using
   the following methods: Venipuncture, Skin Puncture, Arterial Puncture.
2. Follows the patient identification
   procedure.
3. Performs phlebotomy on patients from
   all locations i.e.
   inpatient, outpatient, and pre-op.
