Our client, a leading engineering firm specialising in plastic injection systems, wants to appoint a Tool Maker at their plant in Epping, Cape Town. The person will be responsible for operating various machines to perform high precision machining jobs.
Duties & Responsibilities Manufacturing and machine spares according to production requirements. Ensuring that breakdowns are attended to in time. Ensuring that all planned maintenances are completed as per schedule. Providing maximum machine efficiency with minimum breakdowns. Ensuring that maintenance carried out is of high quality. Working with fine tolerances. Preventative maintenance on moulds, reporting on the mould condition and replacement parts. Troubleshooting initiatives. Repairing of moulds, fitting replacement parts/spares. Stripping, repairing and understanding plastic injection systems.
