The Role
As a Traffic Management Lead Operative, you will play a key role in delivering safe and efficient work across the network—leading a team to install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic management in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the highway maintenance operational team.
- Manage and direct a small traffic management team.
- Carry out and take responsibility for installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management such as deploying cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and other equipment on low‑speed roads.
- Install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic signals including two‑way traffic control up to multi‑phase traffic control, ensuring the units are installed correctly and batteries are fully charged.
- Collect traffic management from sites once projects have been completed.
