Purpose

The Vessel Manager has the technical management within a ship group headed by a Fleet Manager.

Interrelations

• Reports to the Fleet Manager and the General Manager as appropriate.
• Interrelates with ship staff in connection with briefing visit, selection and screening.
• Interrelates with other internal and external support functions.
• Interrelates with owner, class society, insurance handlers and other external bodies.
• Interrelates with assigned Project Team from Docking and Special Projects group for matters related to his vessel Docking Projects.

Main responsibilities

• Ensure safe, efficient and environment‑conscious operation of vessels assigned (typical 4‑6 vessels own and 3‑5 backup vessels).
