The Township of Perth East is seeking applications for Volunteer Firefighters to join the Perth East Fire Department.

Sebringville (1 position) & Shakespeare (1 position) Fire Stations Position Overview: The nature of firefighting involves manual work, of a sometimes hazardous nature, including fighting fires, salvage and rescue operations, and providing general first aid.

Firefighters work under the supervision of a Captain, the Deputy Station Chief, and the Station Chief.

Attending training on a regular basis and maintaining fire vehicles and the fire station is required.

Firefighters are required to make serious decisions and work without supervision until higher ranking officers arrive at an emergency.

Firefighters are required to be in excellent physical condition.
