Job Description

• Co‑ordinate the Royal York Hotel waste disposal facilities.
• Maintain a daily log and control of waste removal, tracking weight, bin count of daily waste, recycled bottles, returnable bottles, and request additional containers as needed.
• Prepare waste for processing or returns to vendors.
• Transfer waste bins to Piper Street for pick‑up, or move waste from hotel/department bins to roll‑off bins on Piper St.
• Operate waste processing equipment, including but not limited to compactors and waste converters, ensuring only appropriate materials are processed.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, including cleaning inside equipment.
• Keep the waste disposal area, corridor space, and disposal equipment clean and sanitary.
• Follow health and safety procedures in all work areas.
