Responsibilities
Will need to become a certified welder, certified by the Canadian Welding Bureau for Qualification W47.1 and W186. Able to read shop drawings, bending schedules, welding signs and symbols.Safely set-up, operate and maintain welding equipment and machines.Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials and/or containers to be moved.Positions and clamps work pieces together or assembles them in jigs or fixtures. Fitting of components and weld components together as per drawings. Welds in vertical, horizontal and flat positions. Loads, unloads and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or worksiteInspect the forklift prior to operating, including all fluid groups, update logbook, notify supervisor or maintenance of any problems.
