Summary This Wildland Firefighter, GW-0456-06 position is with the US Wildland Fire Service, GW-0456-6 working in the following location(s): Madison, Indiana As applicable: Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately 10 months, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year. Responsibilities As a Wildland Firefighter your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Serves as a senior wildland firefighter and member of one of the following crews: fuels, handcrew, hotshot, engine, helitack or wildland fire module. Performs fireline activities such as line construction, hose layout, operations of pumps and accessories, and mop-up operations.
