Job Description
Minimum Requirements - Grade 12 (Matric)
- WSET Level 2, Cape Wine Academy qualification or equivalent wine qualification preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Wine Steward, Sommelier or senior Food & Beverage professional within a 4 or 5-star hotel or upscale restaurant
- Strong knowledge of South African and international wines, spirits and beverage trends
- Experience with wine service, cellar management and stock control
- Excellent food and wine pairing knowledge
- Strong communication and upselling skills
- Well-presented with a professional and guest-focused approach
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Valid South African ID or valid work permit
