Job Description An opportunity exists for an Works Controller (Lighting) who will manage and develop a team of Electrical Supervisors,Electricians and civil operatives, and will liaise with the Roads Lighting Technial teams. The Works Controller will be responsible for: statutory road works noticing; the management of financial management both internal and external expenditure, vehicle and plant management, absence management and disciplinary procedures. Other duties include ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation; the risk based approach of the Code of Practice and method statements, and training policy. Manage Highway Infrastructure/apparatus, Roads Safety Inspection and Repair Policy, SRWR noticing and the technical requirements the Transport Bill.
