Position Overview

Working within an industry‑leading organisation at Finning, the world’s largest CAT dealership, the Rebuild Repair Engineer will carry out reconditioning, repairs, and maintenance on Caterpillar products and support 2nd life overhauls within the Construction Equipment product group.

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed inspection of the machine to confirm or expand on any initial field inspection report so that a commercial assessment of the likely repair, replacement, or refurbishment work can be made.
• Carry out standard diagnosis tests on machine components to enable more accurate cost evaluations or to determine condition and warranty agreements for customers.
• Produce a comprehensive list of parts and materials required for the proposed machine preparation work.
