The purpose of the role

In your role as Advisor or Senior Advisor, People and Culture (P&C) you will report to the Workforce Relations Manager and work in partnership with the Business Partners and other P&C Advisors to provide account management for a specific group(s) within the organisation.  This includes providing all P&C services and advice to organisational and people leaders, as well as researching, designing, testing and implementing P&C solutions, initiatives, programmes and processes.

Person specifications

To be successful in this role, you will need relevant generalist HR experience and a solid understanding of best practice and practical application of P&C services, including:

  • Employment Relations
  • Performance Management
  • Reward and Recognition
  • Change management
  • Union relationships
  • Recruitment and Onboarding
  • Generalist proactive P&C advice and policy / legislation interpretation
  • Excellent knowledge of employment and related legislation

We need you to have the skills and confidence to build effective relationships, advising and influencing at all levels of the business, as we have manager self-service and provide advice and support through account management. You will understand what true customer and service delivery focus is, and pride yourself on your communication skills and adding value.  You can quickly come to grips with our systems, inistatives, policies and procedures to become a champion for them in the organisation, to positively affect our people and culture.
