Peer Support Worker (maternity leave position) - Wellington Bridge Addiction Service
The Salvation Army Bridge Programme Wellington currently have a vacancy for Peer Support Worker with our programme to cover for a staff members maternity leave. The role will fixed term between 6 to 12 months.
You will join a passionate and professional team that will support our service users by assisting them to develop and maintain living skills, relationships and daily activities so they may be active participants in their recovery and their communities.
You will utilise your lived experience of addiction to support tangata whaiora to maintain and improve communication, behaviour, and activities of daily living.
We are committed to fully representing the voice of those who use our services and ensuring that those who have lived with their own addiction challenges can enjoy the evidenced benefits to recovery that employment provides. You'll use your non-judgemental attitude and belief to encourage clients to change and grow.

To be appointed in this role, applicants must have NZ residency, give permission for the completion of a satisfactory Police Check and hold a current NZ drivers licence.

Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm
Hourly rate:
$23.70 - 29.10
