We are a publicly-listed company, listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: 'OFX').Job DescriptionPurpose of your roleThe Business Analyst position is a key role that is responsible for applying analytical solutions to problems and existing processes with the aim to increase effectiveness through technology solutions. This role plays an integral part in bridging the gap between Technology, Product and the Business using data analytics to assess processes and determine requirements that will allow Technology delivery teams to effectively meet business needs. An ability to produce documentation (in a timely manner) that supports either product or project teams to achieve outcomes, using different delivery methodologies is an important part of the role, so a blend of experience is important particularly in terms of agile delivery.The initial focus will be working with our Customer Management team, with Salesforce transformation experience essential. The focus will be on working both transformation change initiatives and operational BAU activities that support our Customer Management capabilities team. You will be providing business expertise and practical solution delivery experience to ensure that the team you are working with consistently delivers quality software that meets user product requirements and acceptance criteria. The role will support dependency management and help to remove impediments that are preventing the team from accomplishing its goals.This role is within a fast-moving team and will involve working with some ambiguity to achieve objectives, so you must be comfortable with that. As such you will be expected to take initiative and display strong communication and time-management skills to facilitate meetings that ensure teams and stakeholders are aligned on the outcomes.What you doDetermine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats. Understand how technology can support business goalsIdentify problems within the business, including using data modelling techniques, constructing workflow diagrams, studying system capabilities, writing specificationsCommunicate with people at all levels of the organisation to determine how technology solutions can meet business needsOversee the implementation of new technology and systems, including enhancements and be a key person to conduct UAT to ensure what has been developed is in line with business requirementsRun workshops and training sessionsEvaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from underlying true business needsConduct gap analysis and work with technical leads/architects to identify where existing solutions do not meet the business requirements. Ensure this is clearly documented.
