HELP has been Auckland's specialist provider of sexual abuse support services since 1982. We employ around 60 staff to deliver a range of services to survivors of sexual violence, including a 24/7 telephone counselling HELPline. We are looking for a Business Services Manager who would provide direction and effective operational delivery of administrative and management support services. This role reports to the Executive Director and is part of the Senior Leadership Team and supports and adds value through design of client-centred solutions that align with HELP's vision, charter and values whilst upholding the organisation's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. This role has seven reports and leads the following functions within the organisation, they include Human Resources, Administration, Health, Safety & Wellbeing, Information Technology, Data & Analytics, Risk & Compliance, Property and Facilities Management. Key aspects of the role: Provide leadership to the Business Services team empowering and equipping team members to deliver the core function of business services. Seek continual improvement through systems and processes for internal controls, Human Resources, Administration, Health, Safety & Wellbeing, Information Technology, Data & Analytics, Risk & Compliance, Property and Facilities Management. Provide assurance that business practices continue to meet the Te Kahui Kahu – Social Services quality standards to maintain HELP's Accreditation and lead the accreditation assessment process, including review of the outcome and any associated actions. Responsible for the efficient database administration and support of the agency's Client Management System (CMS) including the extraction and authentication of data for internal and external reporting requirements. Create and maintain people-centric practices, policies and tools that support and reflect HELP's values and deliver a great employee experience. Ensure good project management practice is applied to initiate and monitor projects across the organisation, with clear role identification and documented decision-making. About you: People management experience with a collaborative and consultative management style. General Management – thorough understanding of systems, and HR; broad experience with the full range of business functions and systems, including strategic development and planning, project management, business analysis, risk management. Solid understanding of Information technology, experience working with IT systems and working knowledge of database management. An understanding of national and local government contracts and accountabilities would be an advantage. A degree in a relevant qualification such as business, management, HR, IT or senior management experience. You will bring an understanding of and commitment to, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and would be useful to have experience with Maori and Pacific organisations and communities but not essential. A passion to support and work in the sector to support the team through their work. A genuine connection to our vision and values.
