As Cellar Door Leader for Stonyridge Vineyard, your key responsibilities will be -1. Lead a Cellar Door team to give a great guest experience, making us one of the top rated Cellar Doors on the island.2. Drive Cellar Door revenue & takeaway sales so that it becomes a significant revenue stream in our business: experiencing year on year growth.3. Train the Cellar Door team and Restaurant team so that they have a strong knowledge of wine and how to sell to our guests.4. Develop strong working relationships with our key Wine Tour Company accounts so that we are their go to Cellar Door experience on the island.5. Actively model Stonyridges' Values & Beliefs to other team members to help contribute to a great team culture; including being a Servant Leader.There are 12 Essential Job Functions:1. Manage the successful operations of the Cellar Door; including rostering, scheduling, ordering, accurately processing sales & shipping; with the purpose of ensuring the Cellar Door achieves key business metrics2. Lead a world class on-the-day Cellar Door guest experience3. Host wine tastings, tours & special events to promote Stonyridge wines & create brand love from a broad range of guests. As required, work the floor as a restaurant sommelier during key shifts & events4. Develop modules and regularly train the Cellar Door and Restaurant teams on our wines and how to best sell them to our guests; work with the Kitchen Leader to develop wine pairing for restaurant dishes5. Develop modules and regularly train the Cellar Door and Restaurant teams on how to accurately use our sales platforms; including WCD, Shopify, Lightspeed & others6. Assist the Hospitality Leader with stocktake so that our stock counts are always accurate7. Alongside the Hospitality Leader and Marketing & Sales Leader assist in developing new events, offers, systems and sales processes to increase wine sales8. Continually expand your knowledge of wines & industry trends; be actively involved in the key stages of the winemaking process across our vineyard so that you can authentically tell & teach the Stonyridge story9. Develop strong working relationships with our top spending guests, wine club members and Wine Tour operators with the purpose of driving additional Cellar Door revenue and takeaway wine sales & foster brand loyalty10. Alongside the Hospitality Leader schedule and action key Coaching Conversations with the Cellar Door team including Quick Connects, Check Ins, Development Plans, Progress Reviews & more11. Participates in weekly huddles and owns key reporting lines in the Stonyridge Open Book Management scoreboard. Participates in CAPS meetings and reports on our Guest Feedback results and Code Red/Code Green trends from a Cellar Door perspective12. Continually writes and updates Standard Operating Procedures relevant to this positionQualificationsNZ Register Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)At least 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications as listed above.
