The kitchen is where the magic happens in our Luxury Lodge - and you can be part of that! We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Chef de Partie to join our team.
The right applicant must be self motivated, a team player and work well in a high pressure environment. Duties include:
- Preparing menus in collaboration with colleagues
- Ensuring adequacy of supplies at cooking stations
- Training, developing and supporting junior chefs
- Preparing ingredients that should be frequently available (vegetables, spices etc)
- Following the guidance of the head or sous chefs and have input in new ways of presentation of dishes
- Putting effort in optimising the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
- Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards
What you will bring :
For this position, you must be self motivated, a team player and work well in a high pressure environment. You will also need to:
- Have a relevant, culinary qualification
- Have proven experience in a Chef de Partie role, ideally with previous experience at a similar standard establishment.
- Have excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
- Have the ability to think on your feet as we have many guest requests and menu changes each day
- Have good time management and the ability to multitask
- Thorough understanding of Health & Safety requirements
