Clinical Psychologist / Kaimātai Hinengaro (Regional Adult Forensic Service) at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley, Kenepuru Hospital/Porirua Location: Porirua, WellingtonContract:Permanent, Full time; This is negotiable for the right personService: Regional Adult Forensic ServiceWe are looking for a Clinical Psychologist with a sound knowledge of best-practice psychological theories and treatment approaches to work with adults experiencing mental health difficulties within a forensic context. While not essential, previous experience with forensic, correctional, or other high risk-high needs clients would be an advantage. Professional Development is also supported through contract provisions. This role is full time, but this is negotiable for the right person.You will be part of a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team that provides specialist care to forensic clients in hospital, prison and in the community. As part of a regional service (covering Wellington, Manawatu, Whanganui, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa and Tairawhiti), you will also have the opportunity to be involved in wider service and local team development activities suitable to your skill-set and level of experience.You will undertake psychological assessments and interventions with clients in a forensic setting, liaising and working within a multi-disciplinary team to provide consult-liaison to other services including writing psychological reports to the court.
