Te Pūriri o Te Ora - Auckland’s Regional Cancer and Blood Service based at Auckland City Hospital is the leading provider of cancer care in the Auckland region, serving a large and varied population of around 1.7 million people.
Cancer and Blood Research offers people with cancer and their whānau the opportunity to participate in high quality clinical, translational and observational research, leading to improved clinical outcomes. You will be joining a busy, dynamic and diverse team of clinical research professionals striving to ensure that novel therapies and clinical trials are available to our patient population both here in Auckland and across New Zealand.
As the clinical trials pharmacist, you will be an integral part of our operational team and will manage day to day research pharmacy activities across a number of commercial and investigator led trials. The role requires close liaison with Auckland City Hospital clinical pharmacy services, commercial sponsors and monitors, and external pharmacy and compounding sites.
Some key responsibilities for this role will be in providing expertise in the set-up aspects of clinical trials to include study feasibility, draft script preparation, dispensing guide, and knowledge of e-pharmacy software in compliance with ICH-GCP and NZ pharmaceutical regulators.

To be successful in this role, you will hold relevant pharmacy qualifications and registration and have proven experience working in a clinical trials pharmacy. Knowledge of NZ regulators for drug trials and ICH-GCP and application to drug trial management is also essential in this role.
You will also need to be committed to biculturalism and achieving equitable outcomes for Māori. Ideally, you will have previous experience working in DHB’s and have previous people management or supervisory skills.
