We are looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic and hardworking Conservation Officer to join our Auckland team.The Conservation Officer is responsible for assisting with the promotion and coordination of volunteer engagement within the Auckland region, and leading practical conservation activities. To be successful in this role, you will have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills coupled with demonstrated time management and problem solving skills. You will have an interest in practical conservation activities from recruitment through to on-site delivery as needed.Job Type: Full-time, Permanent positionLocation: AucklandHours: 38 hours (5 days) per weekSalary: $55,000 p.a.Essential Qualifications & ExperienceThe ability to seek out and inspire people to volunteer, and to encourage their commitment to Conservation VolunteersEffective communication and interpersonal skills across verbal, written and public presentationsProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookDemonstrated capacity for providing good customer serviceFull Drivers LicenceDefensive Driving certificate (can be obtained after employment commences)Current First Aid certificate or approved equivalent (can be obtained after employment)Occupational Health and Safety Level 3 (On job training provided)Ministry of Justice Check or Working with Vulnerable People Check.The above qualifications are required before leading teams.
