We are looking for an enthusiastic Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our client’s vibrant, innovative and friendly team. Their Maternal, Infant, Child, Adolescent Mental Health Service (MICAMHS) has a track record of innovation, clinical achievement, academic success and high performance. The MICAMHS service consists out of PIMHS (perinatal and infant (ages 0 – 5) mental health), a child team in Tauranga (ages 5 – 12), youth team in Tauranga (ages 13 – 18), Voyagers in Whakatāne (ages 0 – 18) and Incredible Years Specialist Services (IYSS). Their Child Health Integrated Response pathway (CHIRP) is an integrated pathway for children with neurodevelopmental, mental health and behavioural concerns. They work alongside their Paediatric department, Child development team, School based Mental Health Teams and MICAMHS services to achieve shorter wait times, and collaborative assessments and interventions for young people referred with these concerns. CHIRP has been recognised internationally in the Improvement and Innovation space. They are establishing a trauma informed care approach according to international guidelines. Criteria for this position:
•You need to be a Vocationally Registered Psychiatrist with the Medical Council of NZ or be eligible for this.
•Expert clinical experience and knowledge
•Have fellowship of RANZCP or the equivalent is essential.Applying from overseas?
