Deputy Director/Senior Assistant Director, Singapore Biodesign Programme Office
The Deputy Programme Director will be responsible for managing the Singapore Biodesign Programme Office and supporting the Programme Director in strategy, partnerships and outreach. Applicants should be driven, passionate about Health and MedTech, able to deliver within strict timelines, and have experience with project/programme management. The role requires a leader who enjoys a dynamic working environment, and provides the opportunity to work with local and international Health and MedTech partners in the Singapore Biodesign network.Responsibilities:· Develop the overall strategy and workplan for Singapore Biodesign alongside the steering committee, relevant agencies, and the team· Ensure alignment between internal and external stakeholders· Lead and manage the team to ensure successful execution of strategic direction and objectives· Manage overall programme budget· Maintain the Biodesign workplace culture of inclusivity, diversity and a safe and healthy working environment· Lead the three verticals of Training & Curriculum, Innovation, and Communications & Partnerships· Manage local and international partnerships from the region and US· Work closely with the Programme Director on securing funding and ensuring long-term sustainability of the programmeQualifications:· At least a Master’s Degree in Science or Engineering, a PhD in related field is preferred· >5 years of experience in industry/ research/ healthcare clusters, >7 years of experience in MedTech/ healthcare industry preferred· Experience with multi-million dollar project or programme management required· Demonstrated strong leadership qualities in previous experience· Experience with programme level strategy, planning, implementation· Strong network in local and international Health and Medtech ecosystems· Expert in Biodesign, some experience with managing curriculum content· Experience with MS office (Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)· Experience in handling legal agreements and stakeholder relationships· Experience with writing/publications· Relationship management of key China partners such as universities and hospitals expected. Business fluent in English and Mandarin is essential.· Excellent listening, writing, presentation, organizational and relationship building skills required· Enjoy working in a small team, start-up talent development environmentReporting :The position will report to the SB Programme Director.Company information
