Contract: This role is full time (1.0 FTE) permanent position, Would also consider a job share/ part time for this role.
Salary: $59,000 - $83,000 - based on experience (PSA Meca) pro rata for part time.
Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
To be considered for this role, you will need to be registered with the New Zealand Dietetics board, hold a current APC, and have (at least) two or more years' experience in nutrition and dietetics
You will be based in the Diabetes Service at the Hutt Hospital and will be a key member of the Service, which includes nine experienced Clinical Nurse Specialists and a team of specialist physicians.
We are keen to promote independence and confidence in the people we support in their approach to health and well being, especially in regard to diabetes and weight. This role will predominantly support those with Type 1 diabetes (both adults and children), (complex) type 2 adults and children with type 2, gestational diabetes, pump therapy and carbohydrate counting. There are both inpatient and outpatient aspects to the job including ward and clinic settings. We are looking for someone with some experience of implementing and delivering structured education for people with diabetes.
